The parameters it addresses
Its scope covers pressurization, respirable particulate concentrations and carbon dioxide. Filtration, monitoring and maintenance form part of this system approach.
- Cab pressurization
- Respirable particles and CO₂
- Test methods and sustained performance
A documented assessment
Truckool offers assessments based on the applicable principles and performance criteria of ISO 23875. Scope and acceptance criteria should be established before testing using the applicable edition and amendment.
The CNESST reference in Québec
In its 2024 construction-site crystalline silica guide, CNESST describes positive-pressure cabs supplied with high-efficiency filtered air. Page 8 identifies ISO 23875 as a reference employers may consult in relation to CSTC section 3.25.5. This applies to the context addressed in that guide and is not an endorsement of Truckool or BreatheSafe.
Gases and vapours need a separate assessment
Hazardous gases and vapours outside the cab are excluded from the standard’s scope. They require a process-specific assessment and, where needed, a dedicated filtration and monitoring strategy.
Truckool is not presented as an ISO certification body. Selecting a product does not, by itself, certify the cab.
